Indian Air Force Entrance Test, AFCAT 2016:

AFCAT 2016The Indian Air Force has released the exam dates for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT)  and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) 2016. The exam is scheduled for August 28.

It will consist of multiple choice questions based on Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, General Awareness and Military Aptitude. Engineering Knowledge test will be held for a duration of 45 minutes and will be conducted after AFCAT.
Selection procedure:
After qualifying AFCAT/EKT, the candidates will be called for further testing at one of the Air Board Selection Boards (AFSBs) at Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar, Varanasi or Kacharapara. The testing would consist of three stages as given below:
Stage 1:
Intelligence and Screening Test: The candidates would have to screen their documents during this stage.  In case of any issues with documents, the candidates would be sent back or their candidature would be cancelled.
Stage 2:
Psychological test and personal interview: After clearing the intelligence and screening test, the candidates will face the psychological test/group interview/personal interview.
For flying branch: Computer Pilot Selection System (CPSS) and PABT would be administered to eligible candidates.
About the exam:
AFCAT is conducted for both men and women for granting Short Service Commission (SSC ) degree in flying branch and permanent/short service commission in technical and ground duty branches. for the session commencing in July 2017.
